But
But couldn't you have chose Surgery/Radiation along with Chemo the second year ?
- The tumor is a secondary Brain tumor, a metastasis from a relapse after Paigee's first year of treatment. Paigee was given less than 10% chance of survival; meaning if she could remain in remission for greater than 2 years after competing her first year of Chemo/Radiation without relapse. After her relapse six months after completion of her first year of Chemo/Radiation she had no chance of survival.
- The second year of Chemo was only to prolong Paigee's life. There was no expectation of cure.
- Why didn't you opt for Radiation during the second year of Chemo ? Paigee would eventually die from Rhabdo, even if we opted for Radiation/Surgery. We were given the option to perform Radiation but were advised that the more humane way for her to die would be from a metastasis to the brain. The other option we knew first hand from a friend who died earlier was an awful experience.
- Isn't there more to do ? Anything we try is only to further research. There is no guarantee...."it may give her one more month than if we just stopped."

Chris, Rosemary, & Paigee, just a note to let you know I pray in the name of Jesus, for God to hold you all close and tight. You have my prayers, tears. My heart is hurting for the pain you are all going through. Sincerely Tammy (ks.)
