Here's a cute story
Thursday after returning from the Day Hospital, Paige didn't want to go in to school. That night a buddy from school ( Andrew ) called. He was worried about Paige and wanted to cheer her up if she felt up to talking.
She couldn't come to the phone because that afternoon we had to give her Tylenol for her headache, and Adavan. Paigee is very stoic and won't complain when she is hurting. When she starts acting out we know her head is hurting, she just won't tell us. That was also the day she screamed about the Phantom smell. If you haven't been following this story, Paige is struggling with a Brain tumor. This growth affects the Frontal lobe, this can cause wide mood swings and affects the sense of smell. Adavan is to help calm her down, Hospice has provided us with a Pharmacy of drugs.
Ooops, I said this entry was going to be about a cute story, at least the first part was. Andrew and Paige have a very special friendship. Paige is a Tom boy by choice, she loves to play with Andrew and another friend Devin. She also continues to play with her girlfriends, but reserves the right to catch bugs, play with hotwheels, and pretend to be a Ninja.
