Hospice
Our Nurse just left. We didn't realize it but Paigee has been having seizures and we weren't savy enough to know it. The solution now that we know what to look for is oral Ativan; we have a large supply in the fridge.
Decline. After the checkup our Nurse confirms that the shallow breathing, the lowered heart rate and increased sleep are signs that Paigee's body is in decline. She wouldn't say how much longer that could mean; days to something longer. I keep hoping she can at least make it to the 15th so she can at least turn 7. Funny how I want to give her as much lifespan as possible. There is an order for an Oxygen machine too when breathing becomes labored.
She was awake at 2:30 this morning and watched a Troll movie and TV for 2'ish hours and then was back to sleep. She awoke again around 5:30 and was up for an hour, then back to sleep.
Obviously she was up for the Hospice exam, and is now up asking for something to drink. Hospice is very happy with how she looks and believes she is very comfortable and is not feeling any pain at all. I'm praying the change in meds will help with the vomiting; it hasn't yet.
Thanks for all the emails from all the people that only know Paige through her Blog. It perks her up when I tell her about them.
