The levels you will stoop to

I guess when you are looking down the bore of a
gun named Cancer...

As a parent you want to instill good values and
maintain a certain amount of influence so that
your child can be let out of the house without
the Manners Police knocking down your front door.
Once you have reached this point in treatment
( the end ) your desire to let your child enjoy
life as much as possible wins out and influence
and control become an overrated gesture.

Somewhere along the line of becoming a Tom Boy
Paigee has evolved into a very confident and
somewhat of a clone of a very dear boy cousin.

My first indication was when she first corrected
a behaviour of mine. I was reminded that it wasn't
necessary to say, "excuse me" after I burped. And
definitely not after I passed a little gas.

On Sunday night ( after horse back riding, dinner
at Red Tractor ) while seeing the cute movie, Valliant,
one of the characters ( a pidgeon ) let loose the
loudest burp imaginable. I looked over and observed
the biggest smile ever . She noticed that I was
looking and smiled more, then said, "Daniel." Dan is
the 200% boy that has become her role model during
these past 30 months. Until the age of 5, Paigee
was a Mother's girlie girl dream come true. Somewhere
along the way she morphed into every Father's dream
daughter ( ha, ha ).
