My heart misses a beat

How could you forget how much it means to Paige
to have such loving family. Each month one of
Rosie's Brother's family visits, bringing joy
and love into a sick little girl's life.

You never realize much you love your child, until..

Today Paige gave us quite a scare. In the early
afternoon we noticed that Paige was not using her
right hand/arm/shoulder. Panic set in; a possible
side affect of Chemo, or even a new Tumor...
Examination by Dr. Wong uncovered nothing obvious.
The decision was to wait till Mom arrived on the
scene and Paige would undergo X-Rays of the right
side of her body. Minutes led to what seemed like
hours of what if's, and maybe it could be.

Twenty-eight months on the up and down roller coaster
of Cancer has taken years from my life. As my blood
pressure slowly went through the roof we awaited
Rosemary's arrival. An hour into the wait I felt
Rosemary's imminent arrival; and into the room she walked.
With the grace of a Surgeon Rosie discovered that Paige
had been protecting a friction burn on the inside of her
elbow; a result of riding on the slide at the fair last Sunday.
How this remained invisible to a Doctor, an Aunt, a Nana,
two female cousins and one very worried Father will forever
remain a mystery. The sigh of relief was heard around
the world...hearts then returned to a normal rythm.

On a brighter note ! Ben and family have found a Specialist
at Columbia Presbyterian that firmly believes he can offer
Ben between a 20 to 40 % chance of survival. Please pray
for Ben and his family. If you haven't found the link
to Ben's Blog, go to the "Our Links" area on the upper
right hand side of Paige's Blog and look for "Ben's Blog".
Christine and John ( Ben's parents ) are inspirational
in their dedication to Ben. It's a good thing to ask
why there are no other options.

Dear Friends,

What a scare! I couldn't seem to read fast enough as my heart was racing to read your latest up-date! I am so thankful that it was not something serious!

I have been keeping up with Paigee via the web and Ben too. I am so happy for Ben and his family.

As always, all of you are in our thoughts and prayers (Ben's & his family too!)

Give our gal a big hug for me and I hope to see her soon!

Hugs,
Ms. Tammy
