Homeward bound

Counts are up, blood cultures come back clear and
home we go. Five days. We really expected no more
than 3 days. The only constant is change.

Did I ever mention that there is a very high probability
that when a roommate vacates a room that the next
one's arrival will be between 1:30 AM and 5:00 AM.
One would hope the nursing staff would be considerate
of sleeping patients and exhausted parents. The
consideration probability is extremely low and is
fairly constant in all Wards. The only thing more
exasperating than having to answer the 45 minutes of
questions when you are admitted is when you have to
listen to someone elses between 1:30 AM and 2:15 AM.

Some of the better questions ...
1) Are there any stresses in your life you would like
us to know about ?
2) Do you or anyone in your family feel threatened ?
3) Is there any reason you feel stressed being here ?

Through that 45 minutes I wondered if there were any
non disclosure forms I should be signing.
